FPA 150 WEEK 4

 

Topic : Preparation of Growing Medium 

Assalamualaikum my name is Mohammad 'Izzul Tsaqif Bin Ahmad Asmadi . Today i will share the experience of my activities while at the farm for the week 3 .

7.00 a.m

All part 2 student went to their roll call site, our cr and acr took attendance, after that we wait for our planters executive and did a morning exercise . Next, all part 1, part 2and part 3 from diploma student and degree student gathered at agrotech site, we started our roll call with sang national anthem, wawasan setia warga uitm and planters song . We were also told to recite the rabitah prayer, the qunut nazilah prayer, and surah kahfi. After that , we listened to students part 3 talked about pests and climate change. 

8.00 a.m 

we move to the nursery for growing medium preparation . We listened to a briefing from the lecturer about plant mediums such as loam, organic and sand . 

8.30 a.m

Students are asked to mix several medium namely loam , organic and sand in a ratio of 4:2:1.

8.45 a.m

students put the soil mixture into a polybag 

9.30 a.m

After all the polybags are ready to be filled with the mixture and they are prepared for the seedling process next week.

10.00 a.m - 10.30 a.m

 students are given a break for half an hour

after break , students move to lemon grass plot to do circle weeding .
